Double Take | Naperville Chicago Baby photographer, Wheaton Baby Photographer

So one day I get a call and see that it is from Springfield, MO – which is where my parents live.  I figure they must have gotten a new cell phone or something, but instead, it was this lovely family.  They were coming up to Naperville to visit grandma and wanted to get pictures of their one year old twins.  What a small world!  I had just been in Springfield, MO the week before they came up on their trip.

On this day, the poor boys had missed their naps and were super tired.  We learned that while one was cranky and tired, the other was totally slap-happy in his exhaustion.  Now the craziest part of this session are the twins, themselves.  Apparently, they aren’t identical twins – but you could have fooled me!  They look like mirror twins, don’t they?!  I love their big, blue eyes.  I hope they had a safe trip and enjoyed their visit with grandma!

Birthday Boys | Naperville Baby Photographer

It’s a Snow Day session!  These cuties were only days from turning one when we had our snow day session.  I love photographing twins, and being able to provide their one year portraits is wonderful.  Unfortunately it was a gloomy, cold day.  Not just cold, but with spitting sleet on top of it!  We had to be quick, but considering the weather, they were great troopers.

I have to say, I absolutely love the family one on ones with the parents.  I love mom and dad’s smiles and interactions with their little guys.

Happy birthday, boys!

At the end, the cold was just too much for the twins.  Time to call it quits.

Cuddly Chaos | LaGrange Baby and Child Photographer

Well, the dynamic duo turned one!  But we always photograph the entire family when we get together, and this time, three year old, Sarsha was being a wonderful model for me.  So I had to take advantage, as last time she didn’t want any of it.  LOL  The twins were typical one year olds – mobile and could not be contained.  But being so cute certainly makes up for the challenge.

But what about the birthday twins, you ask?  Well, they were napping until this point, but then it was time for some cuddly chaos.

We wanted the babies to sit next to each other in these chairs, but anytime we brought the boy by the girl, she would cry. LOL.  But doesn’t she look like she is saying, “where’s my brother?  I’ve got a seat for him.”

But he was much happier on his own.

Holiday Cheer | Chicago – Elmhurst Children’s Photographer

This family found me through the DuPage Moms of Multiples group.  With one year old twins and a three year old big brother, they wanted some holiday pictures.  The session almost didn’t happen because both of the twins had been sick that week, but luckily the bug had passed in time for our photo shoot.  I am always amazed at how different twins’ personalities can be.  These two were night and day on this particular session.  The boy was nothing but giggles and smiles, whereas the girl was reserved and shy.  But by the end, I had her fully smiling – mostly by having mom and dad play peek-a-boo over my shoulder.

Three’s a crowd | Chicago – Naperville Child Photographer

I’ve been photographing this family every few months since the older daughter was 6 months old.  Then when she was 15 months, the twins were born.  I know them well and love watching them grow up.  This session almost didn’t happen because poor Luke had been very sick for the previous weeks but took a turn for the better a few days before the session.  Mom and I were both very happy.  So come the day of the session, all is well.  We have beautiful weather, etc.  Well, out of the blue in the car, one of the twins vomits.  Then not much longer after that, the other one is sick.

They arrived defeated, with an attitude of, “oh well!  Whatever you can get, we’ll get.”  Thankfully, the kids seemed fine, though poor Luke was obviously not himself.  Still, you would never know the ordeal leading up to the session looking at this, would you?
