Sweetness | Downers Grove Newborn Photographer – Downers Grove Baby Photographer

This beautiful newborn princess was perfect for me when I photographed her.  She was calm and sweet when awake and then fell into a deep sleep for the rest of the time.  When I came into their home, I noticed their gorgeous cherry wood floors and knew I wanted to use them (love how they turned out!).

The last image really tells the story of this new family.  That is their wedding album they are holding.  Care to guess how long they’ve been married?  Well, baby Johanna was born pretty much exactly nine months after their wedding!  I’ve heard of a honeymoon baby before, but this was my first time actually meeting one.  Congratulations to this beautiful family, and welcome to the world, Johanna.

Ashley Joy | Naperville Newborn Baby Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful newborn baby girl, Ashley Joy, the other day.  She is the first child of these happy parents, and the first grandchild on both sides, as well!  She is already so loved by so many people.  Newborn sessions can be difficult, as we usually have to take many breaks to soothe the baby, feed, etc.  But little Ashley Joy was the calmest baby I have ever photographed.  She started off awake, but nice and calm.  Once she fell asleep, she was out.  While I was there, she didn’t cry a single time!

I had never used red with a newborn before, but absolutely love how it looks with her dark hair.

Gone to the Dogs | Chicago – Downers Grove newborn photographer

I had the honor of photographing the newest addition to this family.  While five day old Parker is their first human baby, they are proud parents to three beautiful Golden Retrievers.  To say they are dog people would be an injustice.  They are also the owners of  the Doggie Depot in Downers Grove.  Little Parker is just perfect and is quickly acclimating to his new pack, and the Golden’s seem to have taken to him, as well.

I always love photographing newborns.  Our of all ages and milestones, newborn pictures are timeless.  No matter how old we get or our children get, we can always leave newborn images on our walls because this was the beginning of everything.  In other aspects of our lives, it is hard to pinpoint the exact moment that changed everything, but not this.  This new life is the catalyst for the rest of your lives.  Can you tell I get my baby fixes in with these?
