So one day I get a call and see that it is from Springfield, MO – which is where my parents live. I figure they must have gotten a new cell phone or something, but instead, it was this lovely family. They were coming up to Naperville to visit grandma and wanted to get pictures of their one year old twins. What a small world! I had just been in Springfield, MO the week before they came up on their trip.
On this day, the poor boys had missed their naps and were super tired. We learned that while one was cranky and tired, the other was totally slap-happy in his exhaustion. Now the craziest part of this session are the twins, themselves. Apparently, they aren’t identical twins – but you could have fooled me! They look like mirror twins, don’t they?! I love their big, blue eyes. I hope they had a safe trip and enjoyed their visit with grandma!

This little baby was three weeks old when I met her – which is pretty old for a newborn session. Thankfully, little Miss Elliana was a sleepy sweetheart. While she started off awake, she was still calm. Once she fell asleep, she was a beautiful little thing who woke only to eat and then go back to sleep. She was also a big fan of my space heater blowing right on her. So, without further ado, come meet the newest member to this lovely family – Elliana!

This little guy came in for his one year pictures. At first, I was worried he was going to be very shy, as he clung to his parents and looked around. But boy was I wrong. He was so happy and smiley. The grandparents also had a great time. They brought a traditional Chinese outfit for some of the pictures. I love incorporating things that are special to families – be it their culture, interests, or whatever. It makes the pictures more personal, and this outfit was truly gorgeous.

Another great athlete! This time a tennis player.
