Family portraits do not stop when your children are no longer little.  It is important to do them every few years.  People change, they age, and at some point, your children or grandchildren will want to look back at them and see you through the timeline offered by pictures.  We lucked out with great weather for this next family.  With the oldest daughter getting ready to go back to college, and the youngest daughter starting her senior year in high school, this is a milestone year before there are no more children at home.  Perfect time for a family picture.  We also included the mother’s sister who lives with them.

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing this Naperville family.  The two sisters could not be more different, yet both still so nice.  And their mom cracked me up as she wanted to make sure I made her look good (which was very easy).  But I already knew the golden rule of family pictures – if mom doesn’t look good, it doesn’t matter about every one else.  The picture won’t be purchased unless mom looks good. LOL  You laugh, but it is true time and time again.  It’s a good thing I do boudoir work and really know how to photograph women well. 😉
