I have been photographing this family every six months for two years now.  At first, it was for their oldest son.  Then when he was turning one, they also had baby number two.  Now that baby number two has turned one year old, it will be weird not to see them as often!  I’ve so enjoyed watching these boys grow and develop.  Their oldest son has gone through a lot in his lifetime – foot surgeries to remove an extra toe, low muscle tone issues not allowing him to walk (yet), and now recently officially diagnosed with a rare chromosomal duplication that accompany developmental delays.  While he isn’t communicating, yet, I bet next time I see him, he will have improved with leaps and bounds to keep up with his little brother.  So this session was celebrating both the little one’s first birthday and the older brother’s second birthday.  So many smiles for me and such handsome guys!  I love their very blue eyes.

We started off with a new setup and a new floor, which I’m loving.

Then it was time for the little guy’s cake smash.  He loved it and enjoyed himself.  Half way through, we decided to let both boys in on the fun since it is both of their birthdays.  How cute are they?!
